WebYes, while it is a good hour and a half from West to Mammoth, it is still less than Flagg to Mammoth. Just to be clear, West Yellowstone would NOT be a good spot to tour Grand Tetons from, but I think you already know that. West Yellowstone is not as upscale as Jackson. It reminds me of a tourist town from the 50's.
