WebJust put the chiller in the boiling wort a few minutes before flame out and then quickly and carefully transfer the chiller to the sanitized bucket and drain the hot wort over top of it. The shape of my IC just so happens to work better with a bucket than with my kettle, so in my specific case it actually does cool a little faster.
