WebJan 22, 2016 · We used Alexseal. Very happy with it. Had it professionally applied, but supposed to be easier to apply than Awlgrip. Its value proposition is that it's as durable as Awlgrip, but repairable, as the product doesn't float a clear coat to the surface. It's just as shiny, however. We tested that reparability this past summer. WebMar 4, 2024 · Alexseal is pretty much idiot proof: p220 your primer and roll on a decent coat of the topcoat with 30% brushing solvent. p320 this and go again with another topcoat. Lastly and optionally P400 or scotchbrite and then a clearcoat. Tipping is not only not necessary but can actually interfere with its self levelling properties.
